YOUR ROLE

The Communication Expert has the goal to ensure Fanfinity’s Event Promotion & Information, providing community content and corporate communication.

As part of the marketing team you serve as a bridge between publishers, marketing, the community, and media. You understand how to strike the right tone with gamers and stakeholders, and can respond quickly and smartly to industry trends.

YOUR TASKS

External Communication

  • Develop clear and consistent messaging for blog posts, dev updates, social media, and occasional press releases.
  • Manage communication strategies and editorial plans for updates, project launches, and B2C/B2B events, encompassing pre-event announcements, live event updates, and post-event communications.
  • Create engaging, platform-native content across all social media profiles.
  • Attend events to provide live coverage via social media posts, photos, and videos.
  • Website updates, newsletter, mailings (internal, B2C, B2B, player briefings).
  • Lead PR campaigns in collaboration with marketing team and coordinate media relations, interviews, influencer collaboration, and press outreach.
  • Handle crisis communication in case of unexpected situations (e.g. bugs, delays, controversy).

Internal Communication

  • Support internal alignment across expert teams.
  • Coordinate communication between internal teams and external partners.
  • Translate internal updates into engaging and accessible messaging.

Community-focused Communication

  • Collaborate with community manager and community members to ensure transparent & authentic communication with players.
  • Monitor feedback channels (Reddit, Discord, forums, social media profiles) & report on trends and sentiment.
  • Support live communications such as Q&As, AMAs, or developer live streams.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • You are creative, flexible, proactive, and great attention to detail
  • You have a degree in communication, digital marketing, or a similar field/equal by experience.
  • You are fluent in English, other languages are a plus.
  • You have game industry (especially TCGs) & community knowledge.
  • You have basic knowledge of graphic design tools.
  • You have knowledge of Slack, Google Workspace, and the usual social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, X).
  • Experience with copywriting, proficiency with CMS (Wordpress).
  • Photography, basic graphic design and video content creation skills are a strong plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing.
