Project Manager Special Projects

The Project Manager Special Projects is responsible for delivering successful Business to Business services that meet client, fan and Fanfinity’s expectations within the set timelines and budgets. The project manager maintains oversight of the entire project and delegates experts within the operations team. By successfully delivering profitable projects, the Project Manager contributes to customer loyalty and player loyalty but also profit for Fanfinity.

YOUR ROLE

The Project Manager Special Projects is responsible for delivering successful Business to Business services, that meet client, fan and Fanfinity’s expectations within the set timelines and budgets. The project manager maintains oversight of the entire project and delegates experts within the operations team. By successfully delivering profitable projects, the Project Manager contributes to customer loyalty and player loyalty but also profit for Fanfinity.

YOUR TASKS

  • Managing the project from A to Z while ensuring deadlines are met within the expectations by the client. 
  • Develop project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirement by the Operations Director.
  • Work with the client to define project goals and success criteria by the Operations Director. 
  • Maintain a positive and productive relationship with the client.
  • Manage and control the budget of the project.
  • Report project status to Operations Director. 
  • Assign PO numbers to invoices and deliver them to Finance, approving invoices & check correctness of invoices cfr data (company details, VAT number, …).
  • Coordinate the project team consisting of internal team members, freelancers and external parties.
  • SPOC for client and informing the client of all developments within the project.
  • Keeping supporting departments (Hospitality Expert, Event Production Expert,…) informed of changes within the project. 
  • Providing a debrief to all parties involved when the project/event is launched.
  • On the event itself, you will bear ultimate responsibility, maintain a helicopter view and manage staff and freelancers. You are responsible for making sure the project is the best possible experience for the fan/visitor/participant, which means you don’t just look at getting the production done, but also that it’s done in a way that suits the experience the best.
  • Working with the project team, members of the gaming community, and our creative and commercial teams to identify areas of improvement for future projects.
  • Presenting ideas for innovation to our commercial & creative teams, and to our clients.

WHAT YOU BRING

Education

  • Bachelor in Event Management
  • Equal by experience

Knowledge

  • Languages: Fluency in written & spoken English, other languages are a plus
  • IT: Slack, Google Workspace, Spreadsheets
  • Game industry & community knowledge
