Season 2 of the European Star Wars™: Unlimited competitive circuit is coming to this: The Regional Championship in Utrecht. After our last S2 Sector Qualifier in Turin September, we are now on the way to the Netherlands. The top players from all Sector Qualifiers across Europe as well as the Last Chance Qualifier played on Friday of the Regional Championshipwill compete for the crown this weekend.
As with so many of our events, we are finding our way back to the Jaarbeurs - the exhibition center with 10 different halls in the heart of Utrecht. Situated right next to city’s central train station as well as a close walk from the center, it’s the ideal place to host an incredible event for players: many different options for accommodation in the near vicinity, easy access to the venue, and in close proximity to many attractions, cafes, and restaurants to visit with friends after the event.
This season’s Sector Qualifiers took us to Berlin and Turin. Hundreds of players joined us to compete and celebrate Star Wars™: Unlimited. We saw meta upsets in Berlin with a field of over 500 players, and incredible deck building in Turin’s Limited format where players opened fresh packs from the newly launched Ashes of the Empire.
We are going into this weekend with extra excitement as the Star Wars™: Unlimited Galactic Championship this summer in Las Vegas has been recognised with an award in the Event of the Year category at the TCG Awards. Now, we can’t wait to make the Regional Championship in the Netherlands an amazing event.
